We all know brand new products have 'teething problems' and the users of these copiers get familiar with them, the manufactures also learn from their mistakes and introduce remedies in future versions. If a manufacturer provides a way of zero'ing the counters who is to say its unethical. If the customer knows their getting a second hand machine (for want of a better description, I will never be a salesman) whats the problem, they just want it to work. You can always find a way to compensate for variances. Resetting counters? Where are your ethics? The biggest reason to RESET a counter is to deceive.
